F-in' Finally... CoD2 patch released!
After all the wait, looks like the patch is finally on it's way. Word is, the official release has not been made yet... and will not until the SERVER patch is released. That's right, client patch, but no server patch yet (no not even for windows servers yet!)... so this is pretty much worthless right now, but feel free to download it now so you're ready. I just wouldn't install it until the server patch is out so you actually have some place to play this new version. New maps are confirmed and PB is confirmed as part of this patch... it's the real deal, just not officially announced yet.

Word now is that this was leaked. One of the mirror sites that is supposed to provide the file for download accidentally made it available before they were supposed to. Serves IW right, making people wait so damn long for it.

As suspected Linux has the lions share of servers:
Windows: 1292 servers
Linux: 3808 servers
So 75% of the CoD2 servers out there are on the linux platform, might be a good reason for IW/ACT to reconsider their release policy. But we already knew that from the 6 months it has already taken them to get this patch out to start with, question is do they know it
